Instructor: Dana Karuza

Explore the popular art of Japanese paper folding in this class. An array of colorful papers will be available to students for two full hours of folding and creating.

Class fee: $10 for first child ($5 for each sibling - discount will be applied at checkout). After paying, please complete an enrollment form HERE. Please send a snack with your child (we will have some for anyone who does not have one).

Dana Karuza has been teaching art workshops and classes at a number of NEK nonprofits and schools for well over a decade. Most recently she has worked as an Integrated Arts Teacher at the High School level as an Artist in Residence through VSA (Very Special Arts ) VT, Arts to Smarts program affiliated with St. Michael’s College. A long time teaching artist at Catamount Arts, she currently serves as Director of On Site Education at the Old Stone House Museum and Historic Village in Brownington. With a bit of spare time in the winter months she looks forward to immersing creatively with Catamount kids. Dana believes that exploration of materials and artistic mediums, along with process over product are critical, creative explorations in the formative years.
