Join us at St. Johnsbury Puts the “A” in STEM Event at Catamount Arts on Thursday, April 11th, from 4pm - 6pm. The Fairbanks Museum & Planetarium, in partnership with Catamount Arts, along with the Athenaeum, St. Johnsbury Academy, Northeast Kingdom Artisans Guild, Foundry, St. Johnsbury School, St. Johnsbury Chamber of Commerce, The Yarn Bank, and the Museum of Everyday Life is gathering to celebrate artists who have been inspired by science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM). ARTISTS, YOUNG AND OLD, NOVICE AND PROFESSIONAL will display their STEAM inspired knitting, oils and music to cooking, dancing, and sculpture. Jim Schenck, a founder of The Foundry along with Dorian McGowen, artist and exhibitor at the NEK Artisan Guild will be a featured STEAM speaker during the evening. Catamount Arts Gallery Director Katherine French will present Flights of Fancy, an exhibition of kinetic sculpture by the late artist David A. Lang. Light snacks and beverages will be served. Event is by donation.
