MAKE A ZINE! (Homeschooled students, ages 10-14)

Thursdays, November 7 – December 19 (no class on Thanksgiving), 12-2pm

Catamount Arts Center
115 Eastern Ave.
St. Johnsbury, VT

Instructor: Lassiter Williams

Zines are self-published works, often a mix of text and images, usually reproduced on a photocopier for limited distribution. Lassiter will lead students in writing and assembling their own poetry or prose, collages and other artwork into zines, created individually or collectively. Students will brainstorm ideas, map out a plan for presentation, and then draw, write, doodle, cut, paste, scribble, sketch and print their way to handmade zines, ready for distribution!

Class fee: $110; 10% off for each additional sibling ($99) – discount must be taken in person at the box office. Catamount Arts is committed to offering quality arts activities for children, regardless of ability to pay. Please call Anne at 802-748-2600 ext. 109 to discuss scholarship availability or working out a payment plan.

After paying for the class, please complete enrollment HERE.

Lassiter Williams holds a bachelor’s degree from Sarah Lawrence College and MFA in Children’s Literature from Hollins University. Her first YA fantasy novel, The Rage, was published this year by Regent Street Press.
