Mark Breen and WindRose will perform live at a summer benefit for the Northeast Kingdom Astronomy Foundation (NKAF) on Saturday, July 26th at 7pm at the Peacham Congregational Church - 56 Church St., Peacham. Tickets are $15 and $10 for students and seniors.
WindRose, a vocal quartet performing with accompaniment and a cappella, has enjoyed entertaining the Northeast Kingdom and beyond for over 15 years. This blend of voices features Becky Canedy, Pat Webster, Sandi Breen, and Mark Breen (yes, the weatherman and NKAF VP). Their wide-ranging selections are strongly influenced by music from the Big Band era, doo-wop harmonies, and Celtic sounds, as well as drawing on Broadway music from their collective musical theater backgrounds.
Join them after for a Star Party at Northern Skies Observatory – 336 Bayley-Hazen Rd, Peacham. NKAF's mission is to enhance science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education by promoting the study of astronomy by students and the public and to strengthen the science curriculum of participating schools by providing facilities and opportunities in astronomy generally unavailable to secondary and post-secondary schools.
